We were lucky to go on two end of year trips. We watched a Christmas show as well as went to Willow Bank.

 

For our digital curriculum we have been focusing on quality photos and videos.

 

Storytelling this term was 'Jack and the Beanstalk' We loved doing literacy activities around this.

 

Our topic this term was about heroes. We made photo frames with our hero inside them.

 

Lots of us were in the Hakatere Festival. We did a great job.

 

Look at our quality handwriting! Room 5 have been doing learning about the 'ai' sound and practising forming our letters correctly.

 

Room 5 enjoyed visiting the A&P show.

 

Matt has been coming in each week to teach us how to play golf! We are showing great Netherby Pride.

 

We learnt about the importance of turtles in Fiji while we were celebrating Fijian Language week.

 

Life Education! We really enjoyed visiting Harold's classroom.

 

Room 5, 7 & 2 got together last week for buddy reading. We had a great time sharing stories.

 

The lovely sun has allowed us to get out training for athletics which will be happening in Term 4.

 

Firewise! We had the local firefighters in to visit us. We learnt how to get down, get low & get out FAST! We got to practise this in the escape room challenge.

 

Duffy books! We are so thankful for our free books each term.

 

Mr Mac came and shared his story 'Dough the Digger' with us! Then we were lucky enough to get our Duffy books.

Spring time! We enjoyed writing about spring.
